–Midterm election fallout continues, including Republicans proving they know the word “repudiate,” was John Boehner drunk when he cried, and Michele Bachmann’s trance-like hypnosis with Chris Matthews.

–Republicans are getting increasingly upset with the Tea Party over having cost them control of the Senate, and we agree.

–We look at whether or not it is possible to have an adult discussion about media coverage since 9/11 and the effect on Muslim stereotypes without drawing criticism from political extremes on both sides.

–MoveOn member Lauren Valle is stomped on by a Rand Paul supporter Tim Profitt at a recent campaign event, and conservatives claim the entire story is being distorted because liberals say the stomping was on Lauren’s back, not her head.

–Sharron Angle’s bizarre campaign at with stock Getty images of Hispanics, and her further claims that some Hispanics look Asian.

–Amendment 62 in Colorado, supported by Senate candidate Ken Buck, would lay the groundwork to ban all abortions, including those where the life of the mother is in danger, since being against abortion is being pro-life.

–We look at what Democrats should do in the last few days before the election.

–Wayne Besen from Truth Wins Out calls in to discuss the myth about gays and lesbians trying to convert heterosexuals, but a bad cell phone signal cuts the interview short.

–More examples of right wing terror, this time from Carlsbad, California, where a shooter allegedly yelled “Death to Obama” while firing his gun on a playground, and a discussion about why the media does not cover these stories honestly.

–Brett Favre sent nude pictures of himself to a woman after she rejected him twelve times, and we discuss the connection between this type of activity and similar stunts by politicians, and get Louis’ recommendations on when to send the pictures.

–A McDonald’s happy meal barely changes during 6 months on the counter, and we wonder what on earth is in the food.

–The 2010 election is closing in, and Teabaggers shouldn’t order the drapes before they’ve signed the mortgage.

–Christine O’Donnel’s bizarre debate performance, unusual debate demeanor, and incredible statement asking where the Constitution prescribes separation of church and state, plus a comparison of O’Donnell’s delivery to Miss South Carolina’s.

–In a story that would be unbelievable as a movie script, gay-bashing Carl Paladino ran multiple gay nightclubs, and sent lesbian pornography and bestiality to his friends in emails.

–The New York Gubernatorial debate, at which Paladino was overshadowed by Jimmy McMillan of The Rent is Too Damn High Party.

–Colorado Republican candidate Ken Buck likens homosexuality to other conditions people can be born with, so as being alcoholics, and we pull from the archives to find a clip of Paul Cameron making the same comparison with drugs on our show.

–A warning about the Tea Party, which is offering no solutions, no real hope, and is preying on voters’ emotions, as well as why the GOP is hoping for voter amnesia in their quest to take over the House and Senate.

–On the Members Podcast this week: David’s run in with the police involving a hammer on the way to the studio, Jan Brewer’s possible health problems, the new iPad giveaway, more proof about the influence of right wing media on real life violence, more.

This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / October 6th, 2010

Total Running Time: 60:00

–Congresswoman Donna Edwards (D-MD) sits down with us to discuss the upcoming election, racism in campaigns, and much more.

–We discuss the Rick Sanchez firing, listen to the segment from Sirius radio where Rick calls Jon Stewart a bigot and implies CNN and other media outlets are controlled by Jews, and discuss the implications and history of Jewish conspiracy theories.

–We finally give away the iPad and the winner is…listen to find out.

–An incredibly racist CSPAN caller on their Republicans line refers to the anchor as “colored” and asks why African-Americans don’t simply thank white people for what they’ve done for them.

–Gretchen Carlson’s greatest hits on Fox News include equating acknowledgment of homosexuality to “going off the rails,” and equating her job to the President of the United States, and now she says it is scary how many people consider Jon Stewart real news. We look at the obvious flaws in her theory and discuss a survey which found Daily Show viewers are far more informed and educated than Bill O’Reilly’s audience.

–Sharron Angle now suggests that some US cities are under Sharia Law, and also gets caught on audio recordings released by the Las Vegas Sun reporter Jon Ralston trying to convince her Republican opponent to exit the race in exchange for political favors.

–Senator Jim Demint, supporter of several Tea Party candidates, confirms his belief that homosexuals and unmarried pregnant women should not be allowed to teach public school because of the implied endorsement from the government that might be suggested, and we wonder if the same logic could apply to speeding.

–After asking Shirley Phelps-Roper from the Westboro Baptist Church about her infrequent blinking during television interviews a few weeks ago, several audience members email David to indicate that Shirley has been seen wearing dark sunglasses at several recent interviews, and we wonder if a nerve was struck.

–Millionaire Glenn Beck pretends he would share the pain of spending cuts, possibly loosing his home or job, and we believe he is experience PMS, Poor Me Syndrome.

–John McCain gets into an angry exchange with a reporter about Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.

–Bill Donohue lives in opposite world, claiming no organization has less of a problem with sexual abuse than the Catholic Church, and we wonder whether even NAMBLA has less of a problem with sexual abuse than the Catholic Church.

–A new study by the Pew Research Center finds that atheists and agnostics know the most about world religion, and David and Louis both take a world religions quiz, including a discussion of the implications.

–A voicemail in support of Rick Sanchez, emails about our interview with Cenk Uygur from The Young Turks, David’s comments about Stephen Colbert, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the UN, and more.

–On the Members Podcast this week: David’s personal story of an anti-Semitic encounter, Louis and his 9/11 conspiracy theory, an Emergency Bra that doubles as a gas mask, much more.

<itunes:summary>This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / October 6th, 2010

Total Running Time: 60:00

--Congresswoman Donna Edwards (D-MD) sits down with us to discuss the upcoming election, racism in campaigns, and much more.

--We discuss the Rick Sanchez firing, listen to the segment from Sirius radio where Rick calls Jon Stewart a bigot and implies CNN and other media outlets are controlled by Jews, and discuss the implications and history of Jewish conspiracy theories.

--We finally give away the iPad and the winner is...listen to find out.

--An incredibly racist CSPAN caller on their Republicans line refers to the anchor as "colored" and asks why African-Americans don't simply thank white people for what they've done for them.

--Gretchen Carlson's greatest hits on Fox News include equating acknowledgment of homosexuality to "going off the rails," and equating her job to the President of the United States, and now she says it is scary how many people consider Jon Stewart real news. We look at the obvious flaws in her theory and discuss a survey which found Daily Show viewers are far more informed and educated than Bill O'Reilly's audience.

--Sharron Angle now suggests that some US cities are under Sharia Law, and also gets caught on audio recordings released by the Las Vegas Sun reporter Jon Ralston trying to convince her Republican opponent to exit the race in exchange for political favors.

--Senator Jim Demint, supporter of several Tea Party candidates, confirms his belief that homosexuals and unmarried pregnant women should not be allowed to teach public school because of the implied endorsement from the government that might be suggested, and we wonder if the same logic could apply to speeding.

--After asking Shirley Phelps-Roper from the Westboro Baptist Church about her infrequent blinking during television interviews a few weeks ago, several audience members email David to indicate that Shirley has been seen wearing dark sunglasses at several recent interviews, and we wonder if a nerve was struck.

--Millionaire Glenn Beck pretends he would share the pain of spending cuts, possibly loosing his home or job, and we believe he is experience PMS, Poor Me Syndrome.

--John McCain gets into an angry exchange with a reporter about Don't Ask Don't Tell.

--Bill Donohue lives in opposite world, claiming no organization has less of a problem with sexual abuse than the Catholic Church, and we wonder whether even NAMBLA has less of a problem with sexual abuse than the Catholic Church.

--A new study by the Pew Research Center finds that atheists and agnostics know the most about world religion, and David and Louis both take a world religions quiz, including a discussion of the implications.

--A voicemail in support of Rick Sanchez, emails about our interview with Cenk Uygur from The Young Turks, David's comments about Stephen Colbert, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the UN, and more.

--On the Members Podcast this week: David's personal story of an anti-Semitic encounter, Louis and his 9/11 conspiracy theory, an Emergency Bra that doubles as a gas mask, much more.

–Don Rojas, Executive Director of Free Speech TV, joins us live to discuss the upcoming One Nation Working Together event in Washington DC.

–Chris Manz of Democrastreet Wow is in studio to discuss his upcoming The Chris Manz Show Live event.

–Less than a week until the live iPad giveaway on October 6th

–More Christine O’Donnell absurdity, this time saying evolution is a myth, and we discuss her statement, as well as wonder how much Christine O’Donnell coverage is too much.

–Sarah Palin thinks we know more about Christine O’Donnell already than we ever did about Obama, and Haley Barbour thinks we know less about Obama than any President in history. Really? Even James K Polk?

–Producer Louis agrees to dye his hair bright red if Christine O’Donnell wins her Senate race.

–Provisions from the new healthcare bill are now in effect, including lifetime limit limitations, pre-existing conditions, preventative procedure coverage, and more, and we discuss how it is on the Democrats to use early successes from these provisions to their advantage in the upcoming election.

–Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gives a speech at the United Nations during which he indicates that most people in the US believe the truth about 9/11, which is that it was an inside job to help the US economy and save the Zionist regime, and we discuss how similarly oppositional comments in Iran would lead to a stoning.

–Is Ahmadinejad intelligently lining up to gain sympathy through “I told you so” in the event that Iran’s nuclear facilities do get bombed?

–Stephen Colbert testifies before a House committee about farm workers, which was not funny, and likely will not even remind people in a few weeks that it was related to farm workers’ rights. We wonder what the point of the whole thing was.

This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / September 22nd, 2010

Total Running Time: 60:00

–The iPad for the giveaway is in the studio, and the days until the giveaway are ticking away.

–Midweek Politics is now live streaming and taking phone calls, but it will likely be a while until the phone lines start lighting up regularly.

–Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is deemed unconstitutional by District Court Judge Virginia Phillips, but the actual Senate vote on repealing DADT is delayed.

–David Pakman’s message to anti-gay activists: You can’t stop gay marriage legalization and DADT repeal. Move on to something else.

–The Hawaii Family Forum is given a $20,741 tax bill for excessive lobbying against gay marriage that overstepped their non-profit status, and we think many churches should have their tax exempt status revoked.

–Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association compares gay sex to domestic terrorism.

–We talk about the recent Lady Gaga video on Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and discuss whether recutting her video in a funny way is offensive.

–Cenk Uygur interviews Congresswoman Sharon Cooper, who randomly throws out an underhanded comment at Barney Frank and his partner “or whatever.”

–In a story too good to make up, Bishop Eddie Long, anti-gay activist, is sued to coercing young men into gay sex.

–Producer Louis is thrown under the bus by Aaron on another radio show, and we discuss the attacks that were made.

–The absurd things we know about Christine O’Donnell are expanding exponentially, and we look at some of her greatest hits, as well as her alleged gross misuse of campaign funds for personal expenses, and whether charges will soon be coming down.

–Sarah Palin suggests that Christine O’Donnell speak through Fox News as opposed to the lamestream media, and O’Donnell does that, including in one of the most softball interviews in history with Sean Hannity.

–Former Florida GOP chair Jim Greer admits that the Republican Party is racist.

–A man who burned pages of a Koran on 9/11 is fired from his job at New Jersey Transit, and the ACLU is backing up his right to burn Korans. We discuss if he could be fired, however, for inciting violence through his actions.

–A political ad that Fox News does not want you to see, because it shows Chris Wallace actually making a Republican look bad.

–Fox News claims the New York Times is protecting Imam Rauf, while they protect their major shareholder Prince bin Talal by not mentioning that he is funding the so-called Ground Zero Mosque.

–Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert plan the Rally to Restore Sanity and the March to Keep Fear Alive, respectively.

–Midweek Politics expands to Sweden with a new affiliate.

–Audience emails about Christine O’Donnell, the recent Orly Taitz interview, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin charging people to see them speak on 9/11, and more.

–On the bonus show: David’s story about once giving Rush Limbaugh a standing ovation, behind the scenes hijinks with Orly Taitz and Shirley Phelps-Roper, much more.

<itunes:summary>This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / September 22nd, 2010

Total Running Time: 60:00

--The iPad for the giveaway is in the studio, and the days until the giveaway are ticking away.

--Midweek Politics is now live streaming and taking phone calls, but it will likely be a while until the phone lines start lighting up regularly.

--Don't Ask Don't Tell is deemed unconstitutional by District Court Judge Virginia Phillips, but the actual Senate vote on repealing DADT is delayed.

--David Pakman's message to anti-gay activists: You can't stop gay marriage legalization and DADT repeal. Move on to something else.

--The Hawaii Family Forum is given a $20,741 tax bill for excessive lobbying against gay marriage that overstepped their non-profit status, and we think many churches should have their tax exempt status revoked.

--Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association compares gay sex to domestic terrorism.

--We talk about the recent Lady Gaga video on Don't Ask Don't Tell, and discuss whether recutting her video in a funny way is offensive.

--Cenk Uygur interviews Congresswoman Sharon Cooper, who randomly throws out an underhanded comment at Barney Frank and his partner "or whatever."

--In a story too good to make up, Bishop Eddie Long, anti-gay activist, is sued to coercing young men into gay sex.

--Producer Louis is thrown under the bus by Aaron on another radio show, and we discuss the attacks that were made.

--The absurd things we know about Christine O'Donnell are expanding exponentially, and we look at some of her greatest hits, as well as her alleged gross misuse of campaign funds for personal expenses, and whether charges will soon be coming down.

--Sarah Palin suggests that Christine O'Donnell speak through Fox News as opposed to the lamestream media, and O'Donnell does that, including in one of the most softball interviews in history with Sean Hannity.

--Former Florida GOP chair Jim Greer admits that the Republican Party is racist.

--A man who burned pages of a Koran on 9/11 is fired from his job at New Jersey Transit, and the ACLU is backing up his right to burn Korans. We discuss if he could be fired, however, for inciting violence through his actions.

--A political ad that Fox News does not want you to see, because it shows Chris Wallace actually making a Republican look bad.

--Fox News claims the New York Times is protecting Imam Rauf, while they protect their major shareholder Prince bin Talal by not mentioning that he is funding the so-called Ground Zero Mosque.

--Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert plan the Rally to Restore Sanity and the March to Keep Fear Alive, respectively.

--Midweek Politics expands to Sweden with a new affiliate.

--Audience emails about Christine O'Donnell, the recent Orly Taitz interview, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin charging people to see them speak on 9/11, and more.

--On the bonus show: David's story about once giving Rush Limbaugh a standing ovation, behind the scenes hijinks with Orly Taitz and Shirley Phelps-Roper, much more.

Total Running Time: 60:00

–Orly Taitz, birther, lawyer, dentist, and real estate agent joins us to catch up about where the birther movement is today, how she is defending herself from the Obama supporters who have acted out against her, and much more.

–Clips from our recent interview with Shirley Phelps-Roper, all of which is on our YouTube channel.

–Primary results, including Charlie Rangel, Christine O’Donnell beating Mike Pence, Rick Lazio’s defeat, and much more.

–Will Christine O’Donnell’s win save the Delaware Senate election for Mike Castle? Is O’Donnell a cross between Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh, without the political skills? Are the Republicans moving to the kooky right with the promise of Sharron Angle, Christine O’Donnell and Rand Paul?

–DC Mayor Adrian Fenty loses his re-election bid to City Council Chairman Adrian Gray, and we discuss why and why now.

–Will the Fox News channell-majority-sharedholder-funded mosque be a factor moving towards the general election in November?

–Phil Davidson, Republican candidate for Stark County Treasurer in Ohio gives one of the funniest campaign speeches in history, and we check it out along with the many song parodies coming out daily as a result of the comedic goldmine.

–Chris Young, Democratic candidate for Mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, proposes to his girlfriend during a debate, sings along with a tape recorder during an interview, and answers questions that were not asked during an MSNBC interview in what might be even funnier than Phil Davidson.

–Is the fact that people paid money to hear Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin speak on 9/11 an indication that terrorist have won? Did we expect to see “9/11″ and “tickets are available” in the same sentence?

–Of all the pertinent and important issues still hanging in the balance after 9/11, including catching Osama bin Laden, the effect on the families of victims, and more, Mike Huckabee decides to cover what happened to the Ground Zero cross on his 9/11 special.

–Right wingers are finally making the connection between media rhetoric and real life violence, but not n the most logical way, referring only to the Discovery Channel hostage situation.

–John McCain tells Chris Wallace that not renewing the Bush tax cuts for the right would be class warfare, and we agree that there is class warfare going on, but not the type McCain and many others refer to. We look at real wages and wealth inequality starting before the Great Depression and figure out exactly where the class warfare is going on.

–New station airing Midweek Politics in Oregon, audience emails about Midweek Politics and religion, bias on Midweek Politics, Hitler being Jewish, the Jan Brewer meltdown, and more.

This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / September 8th, 2010

Total Running Time: 60:00
–Mike Lux, CEO of Progressive Strategies and blogger at OpenLeft.com and The Huffington Post, joins is live to discuss the upcoming elections, Democratic and Republican strategy, and more.

–The first show at the new Midweek Politics studio, still with many kinks to be work out.

–Producer Louis and his band lied about his age to be allowed into a battle of the bands contest, and emails continue to pour in about him.

–After we interviewed Koran Burner Terry Jones about a month ago, the story is now making national headlines.

–Lisa Murkowski has conceded to Joe Miller in Alaska, and it reveals a Tea Party rift that Republicans seem to not want to talk about.

–The Sarah Palin Tea Party contingent of the Republican Party, if successful, will significantly hurt Republicans in the upcoming election.

–Ohio Tea Party favorite Eric Deaton has been indicted on child sex charges, and we wonder if his endorsement from Vote Family Values is ironic.

–Governor Jan Brewer melts down at a recent Arizona Gubernatorial debate during which she almost forgets her entire opening statement, blatantly refuses to answer about fabricated beheading charges, walks away from reporters, and then says she only did the debate in the first place to qualify for public campaign funding and will not be doing any more debates.

–Joe Miller explains that his campaign, much like Joan Heffington told us about her honest attorneys group, is financed by God, in a recent email invitation to a fundraiser where his campaign would provide water and soda.

–David Plouffe will not rule out a possible run for President by Hillary Clinton in 2012, and we wonder about a possible Obama-Clinton ticket.

–An audience voicemail makes us consider whether Barack Obama is doing something wrong by speaking at the Pentagon instead of at Ground Zero during the upcoming 9-11 anniversary.

–It turns out Hitler was Jewish, and we wonder whether he might have known about it all along, and if not, if he believed in his cause so much that he would have exterminated himself had he found out while still alive.

–Followup to the Glenn Beck Restoring Honor rally, including a comparison from Beck of his rally to revolution that led to the slaves being freed.

–In what David Pakman considers a huge mistake, the White House actually comes out defending claims from some, including Glenn Beck, that Obama is a mainstream Christian.

–The iPad giveaway continues, audience voicemails and emails about the New York Muslim cabbie stabbing, Michelle Bachmann being called an expert on the constitution, and more.

<itunes:summary>This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / September 8th, 2010

–The iPad giveaway continues, and people wonder if we’ll ship to Singapore.

–Barack Obama’s “out of Iraq” speech contained few surprises, drew varied and amazing criticism from the right involving George W. Bush, family pictures, and more.

–After almost two years of complaining that George W. Bush is mentioned too much when discussing what Barack Obama is and is not doing, conservative are angry that George W. Bush’s actions prior to Obama taking office were not discussed enough during Obama’s speech.

–During a story about poor treatment of US troops, instead of focusing on poor pay, poor post-war treatment, or sending troops into preemptive dubious wars, Fox News chooses to focus on the unlikely possibility that some troops will not receive their absentee ballots.

–Judge Andrew Napolitano refers to Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann as a well-known expert on the constitution, and we wonder what it says about Andrew Napolitano.

–Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally in Washington DC, including Beck’s fixation on Martin Luther King, the overall boring nature of the entire rally, Beck weeping during his speech, and more.

–Sarah Palin showed up at the Restoring Honor rally as well, and we can be sure she did plenty of refudiating, while Glenn Beck thanked God for a $600,000 donation made to the rally.

–North Korea gets a Facebook account, claims to like men, and posts incredible videos including dogs at a North Korean zoo with bizarre music, and incredible techno music over a North Korean cityscape. We wonder if North Korean likes men as a sign of misogyny, or as an indication the country is itself homosexual.

–A New York cabbie is stabbed after being asked by 21-year-old Michael Enright whether he is a Muslim, and we look at the entire story including possible connections to recent media outrage over the so-called Ground Zero Mosque, responsible commentary from Joe Scarborough, and the expected denials from Fox News and Laura Ingraham.

–New station airing Midweek Politics in New York and Ohio.

–A fascinating voicemail left on the Midweek Politics line from a woman claiming David Pakman is both a complete idiot, and intelligent and handsome, as well as a handwritten letter that we cannot tell if is real or a parody.

–The pro-anti producer Louis discussion continues with emails flooding in from both sides of the argument, plus email about the Best of the Left Podcast, Walid Shoebat, and more.

This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / August 25th, 2010

Total Running Time: 60:00

This Week’s Topics:

–Walid Shoebat, the former Palestinian terrorist who is against the building of the Ground Zero Mosque/Lower Manhattan Community Center, joins us live to discuss how close is too close for him, the background of Feisal Abdul Rauf, Arabic recordings, and more.

–Midweek Politics 5 years anniversary and iPad giveaway

–Concerns from the audience about Louis as sidekick and producer.

–Primary election results, including Kendrick Meek’s win in Florida, John McCain holding off JD Hayworth in Arizona, Ben Quayle winning, the Florida situation involving Mark Rubio and Charlie Crist, and the Alaska contest between Lisa Murkowski and Joe Miller.

–Now that President Obama has pulled enough troops out to get below the 50,000 mark, is this really the end of the Iraq war? What would it take for the US to go back in? Plus, John McCain says Bush deserves credit for the end of the war, and media coverage of the drawdown varied greatly depending on who was reporting.

–Fox News continues to dominate the cable news ratings, and we discuss why this might be, as well as go over the million dollar donation controversy from Fox News to the Republican Governors Association, including the ad that Media Matters wants to run on Fox News during The O’Reilly Factor.

–Exploring the connection between Fox News, News Corporation’s major shareholder Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, whose money was refused by Rudy Giuliani after 9/11, and the so-called Ground Zero Mosque.

–Doctor Laura and Al Sharpton followup, including why some listeners are calling David Pakman the racist.

–Sarah Palin “supports” Doctor Laura, and we try to figure out what that means, and why both Sarah and Laura seem to be very confused about the First Amendment.

–In a bizarre turn of events, the same Pat Buchanan who previously dabbled in Holocaust denial, complained of too many Jews on the Supreme Court, and claimed whites were losing their country to Hispanics, claims that Newt Gingrich went too far in his comment about Nazis when discussing the Ground Zero Mosque.

–Yet another act of domestic terrorism in the US, and we discuss why domestic right wing terror is presumed to be “lone gunmen” and “isolated incidents,” while individual foreigners committing similar acts are referred to as terrorists in the context of the Global War on Terror.

–Last week’s poll about the Ground Zero Mosque, a new poll about the “end” of the war in Iraq, plus emails about a racist real estate incident in Chicago, scammers on religious cable channel INSP, Alvin Greene, Ben Quayle, and more.

<itunes:summary>This Week on Midweek Politics with David Pakman / August 25th, 2010

Total Running Time: 60:00

This Week's Topics:

--Walid Shoebat, the former Palestinian terrorist who is against the building of the Ground Zero Mosque/Lower Manhattan Community Center, joins us live to discuss how close is too close for him, the background of Feisal Abdul Rauf, Arabic recordings, and more.

--Midweek Politics 5 years anniversary and iPad giveaway

--Concerns from the audience about Louis as sidekick and producer.

--Primary election results, including Kendrick Meek's win in Florida, John McCain holding off JD Hayworth in Arizona, Ben Quayle winning, the Florida situation involving Mark Rubio and Charlie Crist, and the Alaska contest between Lisa Murkowski and Joe Miller.

--Now that President Obama has pulled enough troops out to get below the 50,000 mark, is this really the end of the Iraq war? What would it take for the US to go back in? Plus, John McCain says Bush deserves credit for the end of the war, and media coverage of the drawdown varied greatly depending on who was reporting.

--Fox News continues to dominate the cable news ratings, and we discuss why this might be, as well as go over the million dollar donation controversy from Fox News to the Republican Governors Association, including the ad that Media Matters wants to run on Fox News during The O'Reilly Factor.

--Exploring the connection between Fox News, News Corporation's major shareholder Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, whose money was refused by Rudy Giuliani after 9/11, and the so-called Ground Zero Mosque.

--Doctor Laura and Al Sharpton followup, including why some listeners are calling David Pakman the racist.

--Sarah Palin "supports" Doctor Laura, and we try to figure out what that means, and why both Sarah and Laura seem to be very confused about the First Amendment.

--In a bizarre turn of events, the same Pat Buchanan who previously dabbled in Holocaust denial, complained of too many Jews on the Supreme Court, and claimed whites were losing their country to Hispanics, claims that Newt Gingrich went too far in his comment about Nazis when discussing the Ground Zero Mosque.

--Yet another act of domestic terrorism in the US, and we discuss why domestic right wing terror is presumed to be "lone gunmen" and "isolated incidents," while individual foreigners committing similar acts are referred to as terrorists in the context of the Global War on Terror.

--Last week's poll about the Ground Zero Mosque, a new poll about the "end" of the war in Iraq, plus emails about a racist real estate incident in Chicago, scammers on religious cable channel INSP, Alvin Greene, Ben Quayle, and more.

–Tyler Boudreau, Iraq war veteran and former Marine, joins us in studio to discuss his time in the military, his hesitations about the war in Iraq, his time overseas, and much more. The full interview is available on the Midweek Politics Members Podcast.

–David is running a 5K for cancer research in Boston and you can sponsor him through the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

–Doctor Laura Schlessinger’s recent n-word rant, including the original phone call into her radio show, her response, using the n-word multiple times, the argument with the caller, and Doctor Laura’s subsequent apology.

–We wonder why racist Al Sharpton is again brought in as the arbiter of racist incidents, who appointed him, and more.

–Doctor Laura’s appearance on Larry King where she says she is leaving radio, and why we think it is more likely she will be back after quietly renewing her contract, maybe even with a black co-host in Imus fashion.

–A white couple in Illinois is charged for refusing to sell their home to a black couple.

–The INSP cable channel is filled with snake oil salesmen asking people for thousand-dollar seeds which they will get back from God 100 times over within 90 days.

–South Carolina Senate hopeful Alvin Greene is indicted on obscenity charges for showing a college student pornography, and he loses all control when a reporter goes to his house to find out whether he will stay in the race.

–Ben Quayle is running for Congreesman from Arizona, and his campaign commercials claim both that Barack Obama is the worst President in history, and that he was “raised right,” presumably by his father, former Vice President Dan Quayle. We look at Ben’s former jobs, including writing for a porno website, the family pictures he took for his campaign with children who were not actually his, and revisit some of his father’s best quotes.

–Follow up on the Prop 8 debate, including hilarious information from Jeremy Hooper over at Good As You which shows, contrary to what the Family Research Council told us last week, the FRC does get involved in the bestiality conspiracies related to gay marriage, plus follow up on the Steven Slater JetBlue incident.

This Week’s Topics:

–Abbie Goldberg, psychology professor and renowned expert on lesbian and gay parenting, and Tom McClusky, Vice President of Government Affairs at the Family Research Council, join us live for a debate about the moral and legal validity of Judge Vaughn Walker’s overturning of Proposition 8 in California, gay marriage, gay parenting, and much more.

–A look at the upcoming 2010 election, including the addition of a third Tea Party candidate in Ken Buck, results from Colorado, and Charlie Rangel’s indictment and refusal to resign.

–The hilarious John Boehner billboard put up by Blue America in Ohio, as well as the bizarre skin color that Boehner is now sporting.

–What would scare ads sound like about John Boehner and other politicians?

–A recent birther poll shows over one in four Americans still think Barack Obama was not born in the United States, and Rush Limbaugh seems to be part of that bandwagon.

–An incredible interview from a listener about the birther Orly Taitz interview, professionalism, and more.

–We call Target for an interview to discuss their large donation to an anti-gay candidate, and do not get very far, but we play both the phone call to Target and the voicemail we received from Target spokesperson Jessica Carlson, as well as plenty of other information about anti-gay donations and opinions coming from the Target CEO, his family, and the Target executive staff.

–Rush Limbaugh and William Shatner debate healthcare in a bizarre interview, and we discuss whether morals can really be removed from the healthcare discussion.

–A hilarious Fox News style ambush gone wrong by Spencer Meads, who cannot seem to stop rubbing his nose, sniffing, and mumbling when confronted by Media Matters employee Ari Rabin-Havt while trying to talk about George Soros to Media Matters employees.

–Senator Ted Stevens is killed in a small plane crash in Alaska, and David Pakman worries about his upcoming small plane flight.

–JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater abandons his job by swearing at a passenger, grabbing a couple of beers, deploying the emergency exit chute, and sliding down it, and we wonder whether someone who cites carryon baggage as a pet peeve should really be working as a flight attendant.

–Sean Hannity suggests that to annoy liberals, he asks for two plastic bags at the supermarket, and Jedidiah Bila complains about the more expensive cost to supermarkets of phasing out plastic bags while not mentioning the additional cost of Hannity’s two bag plan.

–BP claims the oil spill is essentially almost all fixed up, saying three quarters of the oil and dispersants have been cleaned up, and we wonder if anybody believes that.

–Audience emails about the Terry Jones Koran-burning interview, Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s theory about women turning to lesbianism as they age, a racist email in response to a racist voicemail, and more, as well as new stations airing Midweek Politics.

--The hilarious John Boehner billboard put up by Blue America in Ohio, as well as the bizarre skin color that Boehner is now sporting.

--What would scare ads sound like about John Boehner and other politicians?

--A recent birther poll shows over one in four Americans still think Barack Obama was not born in the United States, and Rush Limbaugh seems to be part of that bandwagon.

--An incredible interview from a listener about the birther Orly Taitz interview, professionalism, and more.

--We call Target for an interview to discuss their large donation to an anti-gay candidate, and do not get very far, but we play both the phone call to Target and the voicemail we received from Target spokesperson Jessica Carlson, as well as plenty of other information about anti-gay donations and opinions coming from the Target CEO, his family, and the Target executive staff.

--Rush Limbaugh and William Shatner debate healthcare in a bizarre interview, and we discuss whether morals can really be removed from the healthcare discussion.

--A hilarious Fox News style ambush gone wrong by Spencer Meads, who cannot seem to stop rubbing his nose, sniffing, and mumbling when confronted by Media Matters employee Ari Rabin-Havt while trying to talk about George Soros to Media Matters employees.

--Senator Ted Stevens is killed in a small plane crash in Alaska, and David Pakman worries about his upcoming small plane flight.

--JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater abandons his job by swearing at a passenger, grabbing a couple of beers, deploying the emergency exit chute, and sliding down it, and we wonder whether someone who cites carryon baggage as a pet peeve should really be working as a flight attendant.

--Sean Hannity suggests that to annoy liberals, he asks for two plastic bags at the supermarket, and Jedidiah Bila complains about the more expensive cost to supermarkets of phasing out plastic bags while not mentioning the additional cost of Hannity's two bag plan.

--BP claims the oil spill is essentially almost all fixed up, saying three quarters of the oil and dispersants have been cleaned up, and we wonder if anybody believes that.

--Audience emails about the Terry Jones Koran-burning interview, Elisabeth Hasselbeck's theory about women turning to lesbianism as they age, a racist email in response to a racist voicemail, and more, as well as new stations airing Midweek Politics.

–Terry Jones from Dove World Outreach Center joins us live to discuss why his church plans to burn Korans on the upcoming 9/11 anniversary, and why all Jews, homosexuals, and Muslims are going to hell.

–Clips from David Pakman’s sit down interview with Congressman Dennis Kucinich in Cleveland, Ohio.

–Clips from David Pakman’s sit down interview with former CIGNA VP and health insurance whistleblower Wendell Potter from Cleveland, Ohio.

–Stories from producer Louis’ band’s heavy metal concert, a new column by David Pakman, and upcoming changes on Midweek Politics.

–Incredible audio and video of Tennessee GOP Gubernatorial candidate Basil Marceaux, and we wonder whether it could possibly be real, how a parody would look any different, and compare it to the Miss South Carolina answer which David Pakman presents as a monologue.

–Followup on the recent interview with Peter LaBarbera from Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, including press coverage of the interview, discussion of it on Sirius Radio’s Michaelangelo Signorile show, and emails from the audience about the interview.

–Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s fascinating analysis of why women tend to become lesbians as they get older.

–One of the most racist emails ever heard is left on the answering machine of the NAACP, and we have cleaned it up with enough bleeps to play it on the air.

–We look at Whoopi Goldberg’s long history of defending criminals, racists, and others, including Mel Gibson, Roman Polanski, Helen Thomas, and Michael Vick.

–David Brooks, from DHB Industries, is being prosecuted for a number of corruption related charges, as well as asking his veterinarian for a pill that would erase a potential witnesses’ memory for him before a potential trial. We wonder whether former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez must have been given that same pill before his infamous testimony where he simply could not remember a thing.

–Essence Magazine hires its first non-black fashion director, and Michaela Angela Davis, their former fashion editor goes nuts. We discuss what is racist, what is reverse-racist, and more.

–Is Glenn Becks commentary about the Tides Foundation responsible for inciting Byron Williams to try to attack the group in California, and the shootout that results with California Highway Patrol?

–Last week’s poll on the political orientation of the country, a new poll on Glenn Beck and inciting attempted murder, an unintelligible voicemail, and many emails about faith healing in Oregon and Mike Huckabee discussing the “end times” with Tim Lahaye.

This Week’s Topics:

–Peter LaBarbera, President of American’s for Truth Against Homosexuality, joins us live to discuss his boycott of McDonald’s for “encouraging young homosexuality,” his photographing of gay and fetish events in San Francisco, his idea that gay marriage will open the door to three-way marriages, why he is too extreme even for other anti-gay groups to support, and more, including his repeat claims that our producer should have told him that Midweek Politics is pro-gay. Behind-the-scenes discussion of the leadup to the interview included on the Midweek Politics Membership Program.

–Bill Scher, Online Manager at Campaign for America’s Future and Host of the Liberal Oasis Radio Show Podcast joins us live in studio to discuss his trip to Las Vegas for Netroots Nation, how Barack Obama is doing, and the entire Shirley Sherrod – Andrew Breitbart scandal.

–Midweek Politics with David Pakman launches nationally on Free Speech TV, including DirecTV and DISH Network.

–The Shirley Sherrod scandal, including the original edited video published by Andrew Breitbart to suggest Sherrod is racist, as well as the subsequently released full video which seems to imply the opposite.

–Andrew Breitbart’s past direct statement that he would like to take down the liberal left, of which he considers the NAACP a part, as well as his claim that although the NAACP publicly denounces racism, its members are, in private, actually racist.

–The United States, on almost every issue, is a liberal, not center-right nation, and we go through why the connotation associated with the word “liberal” have created a situation in which an overwhelmingly liberal country calls itself, on the whole, conservative.

–After denying rumors that BP CEO Tony Hayward was thinking about resigning, BP has announced Tony Hayward has resigned. We wonder why some are “relieved” that his replacement is Bob Dudley, the man who started the downhill perception of BP after telling Anderson Cooper that it does not matter how much oil is leaking into the Gulf.

–Two new oil spills, one in Michigan and another in Louisiana.

–Faith healing in Oregon continues, with Alayna Wyland being taken away from her parents who chose to pray for her and deliberately leave her without medical care for a hemangioma around her eye, which has created a tennis ball sized growth around her left eye. The Wylands are from the Followers of Christ church in Oregon City, Oregon, a church from which 20 children have died from treatable illnesses during the last three decades as a result of their parents choosing to pray instead of get medical treatment.

–Mike Huckabee and “Doctor” Tim LaHaye discuss the end times and the apocalypse, which naturally are being brought on by the Obama administration.

–Emails about why the happiest countries often have the highest suicide rates, gay marriage being legalized in Argentina, three way marriages and marriages to animals as a result of legalizing gay marriage, and much more.

--The Shirley Sherrod scandal, including the original edited video published by Andrew Breitbart to suggest Sherrod is racist, as well as the subsequently released full video which seems to imply the opposite.

--Andrew Breitbart's past direct statement that he would like to take down the liberal left, of which he considers the NAACP a part, as well as his claim that although the NAACP publicly denounces racism, its members are, in private, actually racist.

--The United States, on almost every issue, is a liberal, not center-right nation, and we go through why the connotation associated with the word "liberal" have created a situation in which an overwhelmingly liberal country calls itself, on the whole, conservative.

--After denying rumors that BP CEO Tony Hayward was thinking about resigning, BP has announced Tony Hayward has resigned. We wonder why some are "relieved" that his replacement is Bob Dudley, the man who started the downhill perception of BP after telling Anderson Cooper that it does not matter how much oil is leaking into the Gulf.

--Two new oil spills, one in Michigan and another in Louisiana.

--Faith healing in Oregon continues, with Alayna Wyland being taken away from her parents who chose to pray for her and deliberately leave her without medical care for a hemangioma around her eye, which has created a tennis ball sized growth around her left eye. The Wylands are from the Followers of Christ church in Oregon City, Oregon, a church from which 20 children have died from treatable illnesses during the last three decades as a result of their parents choosing to pray instead of get medical treatment.

--Mike Huckabee and "Doctor" Tim LaHaye discuss the end times and the apocalypse, which naturally are being brought on by the Obama administration.

--Emails about why the happiest countries often have the highest suicide rates, gay marriage being legalized in Argentina, three way marriages and marriages to animals as a result of legalizing gay marriage, and much more.

–The newest Mel Gibson racist anti-black rant, following up his previous anti-Semitic and anti-gay commentary, including the recording itself, Whoopi Goldberg’s bizarre statement that Mel Gibson is not a racist, and more. Is this Mel’s best performance yet?

–The World Cup and homophobia…how on earth did Spain, a country that allows gay marriage, manage to win a World Cup?

Total Running Time: 60:00

This Week’s Topics:

–Conservative author and commentator SE Cupp joins us live to discuss her book Losing Our Religion: The Liberal Media’s Attack on Christianity, including her claims that the Tea Party got poor coverage on news networks, that most media are anti-Christian and liberally biased, and much more.

–GOP Chairman Michael Steele says that Afghanistan was a war of Barack Obama’s choosing, and we wonder how much longer Steele will last, whether we are seeing a rift in the Republican Party, and how on earth someone could think that Afghanistan is Obama’s war.

–Homophobic Tony Perkins of the Family Research Center is called in as a minority witness against Supreme Court nominee Elana Kagan, and we wonder why it is necessary for a man who stated that the only reason we would allow gays in the military would be if we wanted them to “do parades and stuff” to testify at a Supreme Court hearing.

–More of Tony Perkin’s past statements, and a discussion of whether there is a double standard when it comes to hateful testimony and homosexuality.

–Followup on the ICR creationism science degree story, including countless angry emails from the audience to producer Louis about his thoughts on theories, and an unbelievable clip from a BBC documentary on creationism at a school in Tennessee.

–Larry King will step down from his CNN program, and we go through some of his most awkward, bizarre, and hilarious moments during interviews, including clips related to Roman Polanski, Eric Massa, Lady Gaga, Usher, Jerry Seinfeld, the Beatles, Andre Agassi, and one of the funniest, Miss California Carrie Prejean.

–Might Sharron Angle be the most dangerous political candidate in 2010? We talk about it, and her comments that abortions should not take place in any cases, even when rape and incest are involved, since rape and incest are God’s plan.

–If you were hoping to get one of the fully-electric Chevrolet Volt’s that are coming out soon, don’t hold your breath, since only 10,000 will be produced in the first year.

–New stations in Phoenix and Massachusetts, and a new poll about creationism degrees.

–Emails about our recent interview with Rabbi David Nesenoff, who filmed Helen Thomas making the controversial comments about Israel.
