Underground Spiritual Game: Rahsaan Roland Kirk and Sly & the Family Stone Sat. 1.9.10 8-10 PM
First Hour:

By popular request, we return with our tribute to the MAN!!
Bright Moments! Welcome to an hour dedicated to the master of the stritch, the manzello, the nose-flute, not to mention the tenor saxophone, Rahsaan Roland Kirk. No Jazz artist has so deftly straddled the traditional orthodoxy – avant-garde heresy divide. May his memory stay with us all! Bright Moments!

Rock Folk Press Issues 11102009
Rock Folk Press Show Pre- Veterans Day Special:
Listen to excerpts from award winning documentary Producer/Director Lexy Lovell’s new film “The Good Soldier,” featuring interviews with Veterans of 3 Wars describing their experience as they attempt to return to society after their war experience. The film featured on Bill Moyers Journal last Friday, and premiering nationwide on Wed 11/11 – Veterans Day – packs a powerful anti-war message. Also featured: a Moyers editorial challenging a Washington Post editorial of 10/30/09 which called Afghanistan a “necessary war.” Moyers calls for the institution of a draft to make the inevitable Obama call up for more Afghanistan troops more equitable. Tues 2-4pm
