VFR Governance
Valley Free Radio has assumed an interim organizational structure to further the goal of establishing a low-power FM community radio station based in Northampton, Massachusetts. The Interim Organizational Structure document is designed to guide VFR for the development phase of the project through the commencement of broadcast operations. This document went into effect upon the general membership’s approval in May 2004.
Valley Free Radio is governed by a board of directors, elected by, and accountable to the general membership. VFR decisions are made by consensus or, in instances when a consensus cannot be reached, a two-thirds majority vote.
