Programming Meeting Minutes 8.27.09
In attendance: Derek Goodwin, Keely Malone, Strong Oak, Tony Udell, Matt Alvey
NEXT MEETING is: Monday SEPT. 14th
This meeting was to review programmer re-application proposals. No other business was discussed. We did not assign any show time slots, only approval or denial of show proposals. Although we did give yes or no verdicts to each application, there is still one month left for programmers to fulfill station requirements in order for their show to be approved or denied for the next year. Shows below are categorized by the verdict and the requirements that need to be completed for the final approval of each show. Also note that these are just the Programming Committee recommendations to the board, who will make the final decisions.
- Writer’s Voice (syndicated)
- Farm to Fork
- Evening Classics Steve Curlyo
- Patchwork Majority Arjuna Greist
- Sings in the Night Strong Oak
- Cat’s Eye Soup Rikk Desgres
- Rock Folk Press Stephen Cumming
- Lit 103.3 Allen Vogul
- Antidote Radio Catherine Kendall
Collectives are encouraged to have meetings at time in which their programmers can attend to get their meeting requirements. Programmers who are having trouble fulfilling their meeting requirement should contact the liaison of their collective.
- Shooting From the Hip
- Mid-Week Politics
- B’hai Perspective
- Enviro Shownoted that Don Ogden can not attend meetings, one programmer from the show needs to attend meetings
- Beat Clinic
- Sing About It/Good News
- Colors for Friday Morning
Both of these shows entered volunteer hours which had to do with “cleaning around the station” before and after their shows. It has previously been announced that this is no longer an acceptable form of volunteering, as it is impossible to account for and the number of people claiming to do this was not reflected in the cleanliness of the station. There is a volunteer day at the station on September 13th. Other ways to fulfill hours we currently need are promoting the station, screening CD’s for obscenities, techie to update the database. Programmers should contact their liaisons if they need other ideas for volunteering.
- Another Perspective Needs volunteer hours and meeting attendance. We value the show and would like to keep it.
- Hilltown Family Variety Needs volunteer hours and meeting attendance. We value the show and would like to keep it.
