Warren Odess-Gillett interviews Sara. When Sara was 8 years old, her mother converted to Islam and Sara became a practicing Muslim. When Sara was in 8th grade her family moved to the United Arab Emirates where her father was from. She was basically trapped within her house in an abusive relationship with her father. When she finally was old enough to go to college, she went to a women’s college where she commuted by bus. It was there that she discovered the Baha’i Faith. It was also while at this women’s college that Sara decided to escape her family situation.
