VFR General Membership Meeting Minutes 10.15.08
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The meeting will end at 8:30 pm due to the presidential debate that will be broadcast and there will be a showing in the room the board meeting takes place.
- Fidel Hidalgo co-chair of the board, apologized to Eddie and Linda Kennedy for not responding in a timely manner to the membership fee proposal that was sent by Eddie and Linda to the board.
LICENSE TRANSFER UPDATE
We are attempting to file the license on line – in progress.
BOARD ELECTION
Tony Shannon, Matt Dinnen will run for a second term to the board.
Bob Gardner, Steve Curylo, Linda Kennedy, Eddie Kennedy, Rene Anderson and Katherine Reason will be on the ballot for election. A total of 8 people are running or the board with 6 openings to fill.
Mary Wheelan, Steve Cutting and Ed Russell were on the board nomination committee and facilitated the electoral process.
After the ballot election the were elected to serve on the next board: Tony Shannon, Matt Dineen, Linda Kennedy, Eddie Kennedy, Katherine Reason, Bob Gardner.
FUNDRAISING UPDATE
On Sunday, October 19 there will be a Work Party at 2:30pm at the VFR studio. Thank you letters will be sent out to all the people that donated during the fund drive.
PROMOTION COMMITTEE
Dan Rosen, Katherine Reason, Andy Sewel will be part of the Promotion Committee.
A meeting with the Fundraising Committee will be held in the future.
LOCK UPDATE
The lock combination has been changed to both the Studio door and the outside door lock box. The combination is the same for both.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE
Following some discussion, eligible members present unanimously voted for the proposed Annual Membership Fee. The Annual Membership Fee will become part of the Bylaws and will be reviewed each October to set the fee structure for the upcoming membership year. Also will add to the policy the scholarships may be requested for all or part of the fee.
