  • The nominations committee will contact all nominees to see if they accept or decline. The bylaws stipulate that a list of candidates in alphabetical order be announced 21 days before the annual meeting, so nominations committee will announce the list on Sept 28.
  • Compromise solution on volunteer task force approved by consensus. Move forward with task force work while continuing to discuss policy in moving toward approval of some structure that addresses volunteer crisis. For time being, task force will:
    • collect tasks
    • collect contact information (as complete as possible)
    • create database
    • create survey

    Continuing concerns/questions to be addressed:

    • work requirements for programs, or programmers? Task force needs to work with programming committee. Contact for Patty, task force coordinator: mcgill @ gw.housing.umass.edu
  • Web committee–Alisa volunteered to be managing editor after January. Still need interim managing editor and more members.
  • Retreat proposal presented (and posted on website). Send questions/comments to Emily Miller: emilyemiller @ earthlink.net
  • Presented idea of developing Code of Conduct in November
  • Presented idea of solving transportation problem in-house–will discuss at next general meeting
