Board Nominations Announcement
We elect a new board of directors in the October general meeting. Nominations need to be made at the September general meeting. The Nominating Committee is accepting nominations.
Board sets our policies and goals, keeping in mind the mission AND VISION STATEMENTS.
The board is responsible to the membership, getting membership input, in part, from general meetings and collective meetings.
The board is responsible for the finances of the station and approves the budget.
Members of the Board of Directors serve a two-year term. The terms are staggered, with half the board elected each year. Officers shall consist of two Co-Chairs, Clerk and Treasurer. Election of officers takes place at the first meeting of the new board.
If you would like to be considered for a position on the board, please let someone on the Nominating committee know–Richard Moody (584.5489), Johanna Halbeisen ( jh@newsonglibrary.org 586-9485), Matthew Dineen ( passionsandsurvival@gmail.com and 508.240.4619), and Bill Baue (bbaue@verizon 665.3088). Nominees also need to supply us with a short bio.
Please note that only members in good standing can make a nomination, but nominees do not have to be in good standing (that is, have attended 3 meetings in 2 months). We will present the list at the September General Meeting. Additional nominations can be made from the floor of the meeting.
