Programming Committee Meeting Minutes: 06/06
Present: Mike Griffith, Annalise Fonza, Erika Marquez, Arjuna Greist, Noemi Valentin, Andrew Jilani, Jon K., Cathy Santosus, Alex Peterson.
I. Follow Up on Old Business
a. Statements concerning inter-collective problems that were brought before the Programming Committee in a previous meeting were sent back to the Greviance & Mediation Committee.
b. The Programming Committee is to develop a statement on language concerning how to address behavioral issues. Emily Miller will bring a draft of a statement to the next meeting.
c. At the next Programming Committee, Candace Clements will provide collectives with forms for submitting online content.
d. Noemi Valentin has confirmed that she is the collective liaison for Aqui Estamos.
e. Annalise Fonza emailed the former members of the Scheduling SubCommittee to figure out how many open seats are left.
II. New Program Proposals
a. Brendan Molaghan – Annalise Fonza to follow up, and direct him to free form or hip hop collective.
b. Mike Griffith – directed to the youth collective, and others.
c. Douglas Hernandez – directed to the Pueblos collective and Erika Marquez will follow up.
d. Walter Mantani – directed to Storytelling, Eclectic, or Opinion collectives. Alex Peterson to follow up.
e. Youth collective proposed to use the Special Programming bloc on August 2nd for a show with Chinese exchange students. The Programming Committee recommends that the exchange students meet with other youth in the Youth Collective, and if possible, have a
VFR training session. Annalise Fonza will follow up with this request.
f. Youth Collective also requested more time on the schedule. This request will be sent to the Scheduling Subcommittee.
III. Programmer Work Requirements
a. Passed by consensus with a few minor changes (see document).
IV. Next Meeting
a. Scheduled for Tuesday, August 1st @ MEF.
b. On the agenda is Scheduling Subcommittee.
