Financial Assistance for GRC and Barnraising
VFR can offer some financial assistance to those interested in participating in this years Grassroots Radio Conference and the upcoming Prometheus Radio Project Barnraising.
The 11th annual Grassroots Radio Conference will be held at WORT in Madison WI on July 27 – 30. We encourage anyone who can attend and lend their skills to the LPFM community to do so.
If you are interested in attending and require assistance, please email vfrboard@gmail.com and answer the following questions:
- What can you bring to the GRC (skills, knowledge, etc)?
- What can you bring back to VFR (report back, set up workshops here, etc)?
Requests will be accepted up until the July Board meeting which is on Wednesday, July 5th.
The next barnraising will be held in Woodburn, Oregon on the weekend of August 18-20. The Prometheus Radio Project will be collaborating with PCUN- Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste (Treeplanters and Farmworkers United of the Northwest) to build a radio station that has been a dream of PCUN since they formed in 1985.
